> There’s nothing sweeter than sharing; that’s why we’ve made it possible for you to share your carefully, crafted data sets with your chosen colleagues in a couple of clicks!
>
> > ℹ️ Already paired a Data Set with it’s own [View](https://support.55degrees.se/space/SP/3924886850)? Well, that’s all included in the same order when sharing your data set - and of course, permissions are *always* respected.
>
> So, *why is* sharing so great?
>
> - **Establishes a Single Source of Truth **📣
> - Sharing data sets ensures that everyone; from engineers and scrum masters to business partners and stakeholders, are working from the **exact same data source, filters, and settings**. This aligns the entire organisation, allowing everyone to be in sync and eliminating any second-guessing about how data is filtered.
> - **Saves Time and Eliminates Manual Effort **⏱️
> - Instead of having team members waste time recreating the same data sets and complex configurations, sharing data sets allows other users to **instantly access pre-configured views** in seconds.
> - **Enables Consistent and Instant Updates **👟
> - Any adjustments or updates made to a shared dataset configuration are **reflected instantly across all contexts** where the data is used, like embedded charts in Confluence. This eliminates the risk of conflicting interpretations, data silos, or managing multiple outdated versions of the same spreadsheet.
> - **Supports Meaningful, Data-Backed Conversations **💬
> - Rather than wasting meeting time debating how a chart was built or where the numbers came from, shared datasets allow teams to **focus their discussions on actual process improvement, trade-offs, and bottleneck resolution**.
> - **Maintains Precise Security and Permissions **🔒
> - Data sets can be shared with **specific access controls**, allowing you to grant "admin" status (to share, edit, rename, or delete) or "viewer" status to particular users or groups, all while fully respecting native platform viewing permissions.

>
> As mentioned previously, the [ACTIONS] option is greyed out on some data sets. This means that you only have Viewer access to that data set.
>
> Owners, Admins and Viewers all have *different* privileges:
>
> - **Owners** and **Admins** have full control, they can **share**, **rename**, **edit** and **delete** the data set.
> - **Viewers**, however, can **only view **the data set, thus the action buttons are greyed out.
