[Jira Cloud]

> ℹ️ The **default** region is **Stockholm, Sweden**.

### What Do I Need to Do?

Nothing! If your Jira instance is pinned to the USA or Australia when you install the app, your data will *automatically* be pinned to the right region.

If you are not in the US or Australia, your data will be stored in the EU, specifically in Stockholm, Sweden.

### How Do I Know Where My Data is Pinned?

Jira Admins can find where the data for their app is pinned by going to [admin.atlassian.com](http://admin.atlassian.com/) → Data Management → Data Residency.

If you want additional proof, feel free to contact us at [support@55degrees.se](mailto:support@55degrees.se) and include your **Jira Instance ID** so that we can provide details for your specific instance.

### What Data is *in* Scope?

Any configurations generated by users and stored in AWS to facilitate sharing and other key features. You can read more about this in the [DPA](https://support.55degrees.se/space/SP/4138074121/Data+Security+&+Privacy+Statement) in the Cloud Customer Agreement.

> ℹ️ AWS is the *only* place external to your browser or Jira Instance in which we store any information related to your Jira Data. We ***never*** export and store your actual Jira Data.

### What Data is *Out* of Scope?

Data sent to third-party systems to help us support our customer subscriptions and relationships or otherwise run our business. You can read more about these in our [privacy policy](https://support.55degrees.se/space/SPP/3964993537/Data+Security+and+Privacy+Statement).

### Migrating My Data to a Different Region? [NEW]

Region Migration allows users to decide where they want their data from Portfolio Forecaster to be stored between support hosting regions. This allows users to freely move their data and easily answer internal questions about where data is hosted.

Jira Admins will be able to migrate their data to a different hosting region by going to [admin.atlassian.com](http://admin.atlassian.com/) → Data Management → Data Residency.

> ℹ️ Expect application **down-time** during your scheduled migration, so make sure your Jira Admin picks a time when users won’t need to access the app.

Select the [elibible] tab, pick Portfolio Forecaster and choose where you wish to migrate your data to.

> ℹ️ Marketplace Apps do not need to be in the same place as your Jira Instance.

### Prefer an Unlisted Region?

If you wish for your data to be stored in a different location that is not currently supported, feel free to let us know by submitting an idea on our [roadmap](https://roadmap.55degrees.se/portfolio-forecaster/roadmap/54673096).
