Changing priorities is part of real life. Stakeholders shift focus, new options arise, and leadership often introduces “urgent” items. Portfolio Forecaster helps you simulate these shifts to *understand their impact* before you commit.

> Macro (toc)

## Scenario 1: Planning with a new #1 priority (introducing new work items)

**With this scenario, you can reorder the epics, try different combinations while respecting the new priority. See what potential outcome is the most realistic and acceptable for each stakeholders.**

## Scenario 2: Navigating Competing Priorities

By exploring various scenarios, the team can evaluate the potential outcomes and trade-offs associated with each option. It is essential for the team to identify the optimal combinations that satisfy management's requests while remaining realistic about the work involved. It’s not always possible to make everyone happy, but you can focus on what should lead to the best outcomes for everyone.

> ⚠️ Remember that those are simulations based on “what if” and not what is really happening. You need to keep forecasting based on your *real* data. Change your priorities, make the necessary changes and your real data should reflect those changes 😉

## Scenario 3: Urgent Delivery Required (Fixed Deadline)

### Results

Once TIS-123 is completed, work can progress as planned initially. If priority needs to be set, the team can reorder the other epics, run forecasts and see which forecast provide the best outcomes giving the new context.
