### Locating Views

Your **Views** are located in the **Chart Controls** which lie in top right-hand corner of the app.

![Screenshot 2026-09-17 at 11.48.42.png](media://c4349af6-7b4c-42b8-aacc-e7e5d66a7ab4)

A **View** is a specific lens you create to analyse your data using the Chart Controls - both [Global](https://support.55degrees.se/space/SP/4273635348) and Chart specific.

It’s possible to save the following configurations:

- **Global Chart Controls**
  - Visible Period, Item Filter and Workflow Stages.
- **Individual Chart Controls**
  - Data Control, Item Filter and Workflow Stages.
  - Dot Colours, Blocked Items, Percentiles, Trend Lines, Time Units, etc.

### Basic View

The **Basic View** is the default **View** shown when a data set is initially loaded with no changes made and is available even after other Views are created. It is the unaltered View of the data set.

This View *cannot* be edited - as any changes made will alter the Basic View and create a new one.

### Using Views

To apply a View to your data set:

1. Go to the Chart Controls in the top, right-hand side panel of the app.
2. Click the [selected view] dropdown → this will show a list of the Views for the current data set.
3. Select your desired View and it will be applied immediately.

> ℹ️ In Jira Cloud, when you share a data set via URL, it now includes the specific View that you have active so fellow users can see exactly the same configuration.

### Create a New View

> ℹ️ Remember, only data set Owners and Admins can create a View for their Data Set.

### View Permissions

When a data set is *shared*, both **Admins** and **Viewers** of the data set will have access to see all the Views of that dataset.

When a View is created, the creator will be stored as the Owner and will thus have Admin rights to that View. [https://support.55degrees.se/space/SP/4551639042](https://support.55degrees.se/space/SP/4551639042)

Data Set Admins and the Owner of a View can:

- Create a new View
- Edit a View
- Delete a View

> ℹ️ Viewers can only *see* Views → they cannot Edit, Delete or Create new Views for that dataset.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Thus, those options will be **greyed out** in the Views dropdown.

### Altering a View

**Edit a View:**

### Manage Views

To manage the Views of a data set, you can go to the [selected view] and click [manage saved views].

This will open a pop-up window with more information about all the Views of the data set:

- Who last updated the View.
- When last the View was updated.

On the right side of the list, there are three action buttons:

- the **description** of a View ℹ️
- **renaming** a View 🖊️
- **deleting** a View 🗑️

#### View Description ℹ️

By hovering the info icon, the description entered when creating the View will be displayed.

> ℹ️ Deleting a View is *permanent* and can only be done by data set Admins.
